I'm Filipino, and have lived in the Philippines for quite a bit in my life. Capturing endangered animals for media attention and profit isn't what all the people agree on. The largest bat just so happens to be exclusive in the Philippines, and there will always be despicable poachers in this world. Fact! Humans are the only animals that hunt for fun or as a sport. This topic reminded me of a French film called The Rules of the Game that depicted a rich sick group of people hunting animals with their guns so they can make trophies out of them. Falling sequences in movies are always captivating especially when it looks so peaceful in slow motion. These type of scenes affect every one of us in different levels. You may know someone close that has experienced this. (Watching people fall in the World Trade Center during 9/11 is still a big tragedy.) "One person's tragedy is another person's excitement." Karate Kid was an old classic of my childhood, and it was airing on the television earlier so I decided to tune in with my brother. There was a particular scene that caught my eye which I remember back in the day was very memorable. Watching it now, it's still really good but just a little corny. The interesting part is that I started to freak out swearing to my brother, "What the heck! That is my Acting mentor Clarence!" I ran to my computer, and researched it on IMDB...discovered that I was right! I never really appreciated the little roles of small characters, but thinking back...the movie wouldn't be the same without people working as a team on the project. My professor is Catholic, and seeing him in such a macho role is quite intriguing. The video hit a nostalgia for one of my favorite Japanese animated movies. The video I believe is in Korean, but the way it looks seems reminiscent to the film Akira (1988) with the character in the video looking a lot like the main character Kaneda. Noticeably, Superman/Batman Annual #4 issues have gone up! Reading that, and watching the two part episode of Batman Beyond: The Call will keep you up to date in reading Superman Beyond: Man of Tomorrow. I am beyond excited for potentially the best DC Universe film! This could not have came to light at a better time. Zack Snyder New Movie Announcement at Comic-Con Article
It still has not been announced who or what Batman specifically is being used, but here's my hopes for some radical change. When I was watching The Conjuring, I right away noticed the name of the doll, but was confused that it looked different. The movie version definitely looks a lot creepier intentionally, and I prefer it that way. You may find the article below interesting, and the Annabelle story made it to number 2 on the list of spooky things.
Spooky Things Article I love Russia and their old school Jaeger, Cherno Alpha! They would have the oldest model Jaeger that is still intact, because they know how to build them to last. If I could drift with someone, it would definitely have to be someone close. So the choice in the film where individuals chose their brother, father, and perhaps future love interest was not a bad idea at all. Drifting with a Kaiju, not so much fun, but they look so awesome! I think people need to calm down with the hostility. The film is really enjoyable, and in my opinion, a great blueprint to work off of for future mecha goodness.
I like this short a lot, because it does something new by giving the perspective of fragile criminals. It adds a different tone to your average superhero film by making it feel like a horror movie for the villains. Definitely well worth the viewing.
