I was hanging out late with my old friend Charlie and his girlfriend Yvonne till like 2 a.m. Then, when I tried to go to bed I ended up going to sleep for like 2 hrs. and waking up drowsy around 4:30. I positioned my body in a more comfortable position on my back and relaxed. My body started to feel numb and my heart started racing. I was completely aware my eye lids were moving rapidly. There was a shiny golden light appearing in my vision, then I started seeing moving shadows. The whole time I was calm and not scared. It was like anything was possible by just thinking it. And yes, I had a silver cord like in those astral projection stories and anime spirit stories. Everything in that world looked like our world, but so much more beautiful. There was extra different colors you would not be able to see in the real world. I recall a past similar case that I made myself promise I would never sleep on my back again. It was a time long ago when my body had sleep paralysis, and I was staring at a "monster" who was staring back at me in a mimicking way. My bed was positioned against my closet mirrors which makes me realize...what if that monster was actually me looking at myself. I remember soon after the staring I started panicking and woke up justifying my experience as a night terror. Perhaps, all the meditation techniques I learned in my stress management class, and acting class were more useful than just feeling better on the inside. If this occurrence ever decides to happen again, I'll try knocking something over in my brother's room. How to Astral Project This scene in the movie is still awesome! Dancing on bikes still looks surreal to me. Haha.
Lana Del Rey will be at Coachella!!! So much of a great line-up that it would be absolutely bad for my health to miss this...
