My friend in North town let me borrow his Old Man Logan series, and I just have to say the story blew my mind. The rise of super-villains, and the destruction of superheroes in this story was very dark. It's the sort of a tale I find much more entertaining, because it shows that being a hero doesn't feel all to glorious. I love Watchmen, and I am happy to say I finished all the Before Watchmen series. I just about liked every characters story, but Dollar Bill and Molok who were not really emphasized, had some of the more interesting tales I would say. I would highly recommend Old Man Logan, and I find it so fitting that there is a movie called The Wolverine coming out fairly soon. Watch the video below to see a gangster summary of the first three issues. My co-worker who is obsessed with Eddy Brock Venom, Haunt, and Spawn series comics allowed me to borrow her Venom Dark Origin, Venom Carnage, and Anti-Venom. Highly recommend if you are a fan of symbiotes. Besides me liking the symbiote Venom, I absolutely love Toxin and Anti-Venom. Here are the rest of the Old Man Logan summaries if interested. Little Baby Bruce! He will grow up to be a great superhero under the guidance of Wolverine. This post-apocalyptic world ruled by super-villains seems hopeless though...
“This is an alternate universe where Bruce Wayne died instead of his parents. Causing His father Thomas Wayne to become Batman and his mother Martha to go insane and become the Joker. “
So apparently, Quicksilver will be in Avengers 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Although, he will be portrayed with two different actors which I am completely fine with. I can also dig the different story lines, because I am a fan of alternate universes. (What if? series and concocting different scenarios in my head for the sake of thrilling discussion.)
Just about every video listed could be thought as an action movie about a diamond heist/ terrorism to horror movies containing very explicit material. It's very interesting to note that society is treated like kids nowadays with the censorship. If you ever had a little cousin, niece, or nephew and watched a horror movie with them, they possibly started to tremble with discomfort. So you do the best thing and tell them, "Don't worry, it's only a movie." My favorite video on the list would have to be the subject on the Wicked Witch of the West played by Margaret Hamilton starring in Sesame Street. It's understandable why this episode is blocked from children, because the idea of an actor is quite complex for young minds. Heck! This idea at an early age may even encourage lying, and that there really are no bad people.
They were careless people, Tom and Daisy--they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back to their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made... Have not even finished Firefly just yet, and am still amazed by his Marvel's The Avengers. I certainly must stay tune on Tuesdays to see his new series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Luke Cage is in it!!) |
