People have said that the "Big Mushroom War:" was a nuclear war. I can firmly believe that, and my thoughts on the matter if pertaining to reality would be that this was the "Cold War". This reality possibly did not have Mikhail Gorbachev to alleviate the conflict. Tensions may have been high between the U.S. and Russia that we nuked each other at the same time. Nuclear radiation formed many mutations killing a lot of people over time. Perhaps, the remaining survivors all survived because of magic. I am just guessing , but I believe when Jake's dad mentions that he fought along with Lady Rainicorn's dad before the mushroom war, it was an allusion to the "Korean War" when the Soviet Union ordered by Joseph Stalin kept encouraging North Korea to attack South Korea. Jake's dad represents the U.S. aiding South Korea or Lady Rainicorn's dad which had conflicted interests between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. This hypothesis came to mind, because Lady Rainicorn speaks Korean so I would assume her family origin follows the same lines. My theory for the Ice King is that he is of Russian origin which makes sense to me, because he is a misunderstood "villain" who is warm at heart. Heck! America and Russia were the best of allies against a greater evil known as Nazi Germany. In a few Adventure Time episodes, Finn and Jake team up with the Ice King in order to battle a greater evil. Russia being the coldest country certainly matches the cold powers he possesses. He mentions in a tape that he purchased the magic crown from a dock worker in Northern Scandinavia. Not so far from Russia, and he may have traveled around while studying to be an antiquarian. (a specialist in the knowledge of ancient artifacts). Again, magic is a theme in Adventure time that works so well in giving explanations. Perhaps German planes invading Russia during World War II?
By no means do I support this experiment, or acts of cruelty to animals. Although, just the thought is an interesting concept that is simple to understand. This may be a reason why I enjoy playing role-playing games, because there is decision-making involved that alter the many possible outcomes. Before Watchmen: Dr. Manhattan issue #2 referenced this experiment and I am intrigued that it ties in with the story. It is quite difficult to really make his story all that interesting when it has all been revealed already.
Apparently, I lied about not getting footage of Undercover Martyn at the TDCC concert. So very happy! I called the box office today to refund my money for the cancelled XX concert, and they actually did not give me any trouble. I pretty much got to see a free concert! Well, half a concert...still awesome. These past couple months have been great to me. God Bless. The camera was so shaky because kids would not stop pushing...sorry for the roller coaster ride. Many plans this December which include the Holiday Havoc concert. Unfortunately, I will be going to San Francisco by myself for Christmas. It seems my brother, mom, and dad are quite content with just going the time I didn't go.
