It is amazing what can be done in movies that our minds are not accustomed to seeing. Generally, the public does not understand that a film is not reality so they give it really bad press. Brings me back to the idea of directors like Quentin Tarantino making films like Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, or Martin Scorsese making films like Taxi Driver and Goodfelllas which people will remember them having violent ideas on film. It does not necessarily mean they are killers or violent at all, sad to say they are judged by ignorant individuals who say that their work encourages people to murder others. (Because people are incapable of differentiating reality from a movie...). People thought it was really weird that Scorsese wanted to make a children's film (Hugo) when he started out originally making films that are contrary to it. Interesting how a lot of pg rated films are teaching perspective to children. Being able to understand that the "bad guy" is not necessarily a "bad" person is a start to being open-minded. Huzzah! If you like this song, definitely check out the youtube page of the band MS MR. Their Candy Bar Creep Show EP is amazing. Constructivism- art concerned with the particular material qualities of an object and the particular spatial presence I really want to share my experiences in my Russian film class, because it truly is fascinating to learn the minds of the people. This tower is known as Tatlin's Tower or The Monument to the Third International. It was said that it would be a greater piece of architectural work compared to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. I would love to see this tower be built, but sadly it is only an abstract idea of how the Russians viewed the world. Russians to me were unique because their mind frame was weird and filled with exploration. (Weird is good!) I can see why they viewed the Eiffel Tower as a symbol of modernity and wanted to be different from them. Beat the Whites with the Red Wedge, the intrusive red wedge symbolises the bolsheviks, who are penetrating and defeating their opponents, the White movement, during the Russian Civil War.
"You say it melts in your mouth"...so many possibilities. Have to love being in a world of ambiguity. Decisions, decisions, decisions. It will all make sense in the end. |
