Poor man wants to be rich Rich man wants to be king King ain't satisfied until he rules everything - Bruce Springsteen, Badlands "Things have been tough lately for dreamers, they say dreaming is dead and that no one does it anymore. It's not dead it's just been forgotten, removed from our language. Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists. A dreamer's banished to obscurity. I'm trying to change all that and I hope you are too by dreaming everyday; Dreaming with your hands and dreaming with your minds. So whatever you do don't be bored, this is absolutely the most exciting time you could have possibly hoped to be alive" It is interesting to note that the piano in the background is taken from one of my favorite films "American Beauty" and the narration from the film "Waking Life." This song made me think even more about the "dream theory". A co-worker laughed at me today while we had a conversation about sci-fi, because I brought up that those ideas possibly could become reality. Lately, we start to forget what is real and dismiss the fact that life might just be a pleasant dream or maybe a disturbing nightmare.
Last night was one of my greater nights to letting loose. I can say that I still got it in me to wrecking people in mosh pits. Charging at a 400 pound gorilla is only sane in a mosh pit which ironically is not sane at all. Going to this event made me feel young, but at the same time out of date with current trends like a "circle pit". In my opinion, circle pits are so lame but it gets more people into it than a full out mosh. Unfortunately, many people were sent to the hospital and hopefully I was not one of the causes because I did get some good elbow shots and swing kicks while I was in the pit. I started wearing my panda hat again because of a butchered haircut I got, but I got so many compliments from a lot of people. I can only imagine what people are thinking when they see a kid with a panda hat putting a hurting on people. I was congratulated by many people as I left the pit because I did not have a scratch on me. My experience with a circle pit was interesting, everyone was slow...and I was holding a purse from a friend which I used to smack people with as I passed them. |
